4. Cookies
We only use technically necessary cookies on our site. Cookies are small files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your terminal device (laptop, tablet, smartphone or similar) when you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any damage to your terminal device and do not contain any viruses, Trojans or other malware.
The cookie stores information that is related to the specific terminal device used. However, this does not mean that we gain direct knowledge of your identity.
The use of cookies serves, on the one hand, to make the use of our offer more pleasant for you. We use so-called session cookies to recognise that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted after you leave our site.
In addition, we also use temporary cookies to optimise user-friendliness, which are stored on your terminal device for a certain fixed period of time. If you visit our site again to use our services, it is automatically recognised that you have already been to our site and which entries and settings you have made so that you do not have to enter them again.
Most browsers accept cookies automatically. However, you can configure your browser in such a way that no cookies are stored on your computer or a message always appears before a new cookie is created. However, complete deactivation of cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website.
5. Analytical tools
We have installed web analysis software on our web server. Web analysis is the collection and evaluation of data about the behaviour of visitors to websites. Among other things, data is collected on from which website a person came to one of our internet pages (so-called referrer), which sub-pages of our website are accessed or how often and how long a sub-page is viewed. We use web analysis to optimise our website.
No cookies are used for the analysis. IP addresses are only recorded anonymously. Log files are only stored on our server. No data from the analytical tool is passed on to third parties.
6. Live chat
We offer a live chat as a direct communication option. A chat is an online conversation conducted more or less in real time. When you contact us via the chat, we collect the personal data that you voluntarily provide to us. If you use the offline function of the chat, your name and e-mail address are stored for the purpose of contacting you. All data is stored exclusively for the purpose of processing your enquiry. Stored chat histories are deleted after 14 days.
The provider of the chat software stores the data in the European Union and has contractually assured us that personal data is processed in accordance with European data protection standards. The control of the data lies with TECHNO-PARTS GmbH.
The provider of the chat software stores cookies on your terminal device (see section 4). These are used to identify visitors pseudonymously and to maintain chat histories. The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
7. WhatsApp service
If you contact us via the instant messaging service WhatsApp, you provide our company with your telephone number. We will also see your WhatsApp nickname.
Please note that confidentiality and data security are not guaranteed in the case of instant messaging
services. If you install and use WhatsApp on your smartphone or mobile device, you thereby agree to WhatsApp’s terms and conditions, over which our company has no influence. These include, among other things, that you grant WhatsApp Inc. access to your telephone number and the contacts stored on your mobile device. Likewise, data is stored on WhatsApp Inc. servers that are not subject to European data protection law. Our company is not liable for any damage caused by the use of the respective platforms.
By actively registering, you consent to the use and storage of your telephone number. The telephone number will be used exclusively for the provision of our company’s WhatsApp service as described/subscribed. Your data will not be passed on.
The duration of data storage corresponds to the period of use of our company’s WhatsApp service. You can unsubscribe from our company’s WhatsApp service at any time. To do so, send a WhatsApp message with a clear text – your data will then usually be deleted within 48 hours at the latest – or remove our company from your contacts.
You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the mobile phone number and their use for sending the services at any time. The revocation can be effected by WhatsApp message or by e-mail to the contact details mentioned under 1.
8. Data subject rights
You have the right:
-
to request information about your personal data processed by us in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR. In particular, you can request information about the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right of complaint, the origin of your data if it has not been collected by us, as well as the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, and, if applicable, meaningful information about its details;
-
to demand the rectification of incorrect or incomplete personal data stored by us without delay in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR;
-
pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR to request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims;
-
to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR insofar as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you object to its erasure and we no longer require the data, but you need it for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or you have objected to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR;
-
pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request the transfer to another controller;
-
to revoke your consent at any time in accordance with Art. 7(3) GDPR. This has the consequence that we may no longer continue the data processing based on this consent for the future, and
-
to complain to a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or our company headquarters.
9. Right of objection
If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR insofar as there are grounds for doing so that arise from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which is implemented by us without specifying a particular situation.
If you would like to make use of your right of revocation and objection, it is sufficient to send an e-mail to daten@techno-parts.de.
10. Data security
During your website visit, we use the widespread SSL procedure (Secure Socket Layer) in connection with the highest encryption level supported by your browser. As a rule, this is a 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. You can tell whether an individual page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.
We also use appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are improved continuously in line with technological developments.
11. Applicability and amendment of this privacy policy
This privacy policy is valid at present and dated July 2022.
